IT’S picnic in a park time this weekend when a social housing organisation serves up an afternoon of fun - and all for free.
Purwell Picnic in the Park takes place in Hitchin on Saturday from noon until 4pm with a chance to enjoy tricks from a magician, a bouncy castle, sumo wrestling or try your hand at the human buzz wire – if you dare!
Organised by North Hertfordshire Homes, visitors to Purwell Recreation Ground in Purwell Lane are invited to bring a picnic on the day, which also includes Hitchin’s Toque Tambor – featured on this page – performing their Brazilian carnival music.
