Danny Boyle returns with his first film since the acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire, and his effort on this gruelling true story does not disappoint.
James Franco also puts in a stunning performance as mountain climber Aron Ralston, whose hand becomes trapped under a boulder during a trek across a remote Utah desert.
Over the course of six hellish days. Aron looks back on the events that brought him there and the people in his life, whilst contemplating the ultimate test of courage if he is to survive.
It’s intense, gripping and inspiring, and above all, about the triumph of human spirit. A beautiful and masterful film.
