A DIETITIAN turned author will be signing copies of her first book at two events this month.
The Langford resident, who uses the pen name Mary Farmer, will be discussing Cold Tea and Tears: It DID Happen to a Dietitian! at Waterstones in Hitchin from 10am on Saturday.
Mary will then be visiting David’s Bookshop in Letchworth GC a week later for another book signing from 10.30am on Saturday, March 24.
Published by Matador, the book recounts the true story of a dietitian, from qualification in 1969 to retirement in 2003.
Along the way, readers meet her patients and colleagues and learn of her struggle to manipulate the changing NHS service, before she fights the corners of the elderly and frail when visiting care homes and a hospice.
