An afternoon concert followed by home-made tea? That sounds very civilised...
Pianist Clifton Hughes will be playing at the event on Monday, October 12, at Benslow Music in Benslow Lane, Hitchin – tickets £8 on the door for a 3pm start.
If evening concerts are more convenient, you can savour the skills of the Fitzwilliam Quartet on Friday, October 23, at 8pm. Works by Beethoven and Borodin are on the programme, along with music by the lesser-known Russian composer Alexander Glazunov.
Tickets are £12, but it’s free of charge for anyone aged eight to 25 thanks to support from the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust.
