Getting the right man can be murder.
British-Indian film director Gurinda Chadha behind comedy hits Bend It Like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice has cooked up a spicy black comedy.
Mrs Sethi is a widow desperate for her daughter, Roopi, to get married. But when her obsessive attempts as matchmaker are repeatedly rebuffed she begins a campaign of revenge against the families who reject her and her daughter – through a killer curry.
With the police on the hunt for a serial killer, she finds she has more than the law to worry about when her victims return to haunt her.
Enjoyable slap-stick rom-com starring Shabana Azmi, Goldy Notay and Zoe Wannamaker.
