Few dance acts stand the test of time to burn into the popular consciousness. The Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, The Prodigy and Groove Armada ruled the 90s roost.
It's tempting to put Daft Punk amongst the also-rans, only denting the mainstream, but one listen through Musique sends a jolt through the spine to the primeval part of the brain.
The addictive and compelling robotic dance-funk of Da Funk, the dancefloor filler Around The World and the simply unforgettable One More Time form a solid bedrock of party-friendly tunes.
Not as expansive or inventive as the true dance champs, Musique proves Daft Punk to be a worthy competitor nonetheless. 3/5
