A trio of tasty tenors heading to Stevenage in the new year want to share the spotlight with local singers.

Tenors Unlimited – billed as ‘the ‘Rat Pack of opera’ – will be at the Gordon Craig Theatre on Saturday February 6 as part of their nationwide From Venice to Vegas tour.

And there’s space for a local choir to join them for the 7.30pm performance.

The trio’s Jem Sharples says: “The choir can be any age group – we’d like to encourage school and youth choirs to enter our competition.

“The choir should just love singing, can be one sex or mixed, sing their favourite song or two and be junior, senior and/or adult – and we may choose more than one choir.”

If you want to throw your hat into the ring, you have to upload a video of your choir singing one or two of your party pieces to YouTube – with a private setting – and then email the link to contact@tenorsunlimited.com so Jem, Paul Martin and Scott Ciscon can see what you have to offer. But don’t hang about – they need to see your auditions by tomorrow, Friday.

The Tenors Unlimited repertoire includes the popular classics like La Donna E Mobile, The Pearl Fishers’ Duet and Nessun Dorma, interspersed with crooner and pop favourites such as Volare, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Summertime and self-written songs.

The trio have been entertaining audiences all over the world for more than a decade, performing alongside megastars like Sting, Lionel Ritchie and Beyoncé.
