A very good piece of work, Control follows the chaotic life of former Joy Division front man Ian Curtis - one of the most influential singers the UK has seen.
Played by Sam Riley, who is himself a former singer with the band 10,000 Things, Curtis is a real tour-de-force and the film is as gripping as anything produced on these shores since the turn of the century.
A film about talent and torment, Control is a fitting tribute to Ian Curtis and his music. 5/5
