A master of the banjo will be at The Orange Tree next week bringing the traditional sounds of the southern states to Baldock.

Hunter Robertson is an American living in Switzerland with a deep knowledge of clawhammer (fretless) and fast-paced finger picking styles which he uses to great effect in his love for old-time American tunes.

As well as playing for over 20 years, Robertson is also a fine singer and guitarist who has recorded two albums, Sings Songs for the Masses (2003) and If You Want to Go to Sleep, Go to Bed (2009).

Support at The Baldock and Letchworth Folk Club gig on Wednesday is from The Brian Jeffels Band – an acoustic four-piece playing a range of styles from English folk to traditional Celtic music.

Non-member entry is 8, children under-16 go free.
