The first Unicorn ceilidh session of 2015 strikes up at Baldock Arts & Heritage Centre on Friday night, with local favourites Chalktown providing the music.

The Chalktown mix sees English folk meeting indie rock with a twist of modern jazz, producing music that really gets you moving.

They’ve appeared at top-line folk festivals including Sidmouth, Towersey and Bromyard and have built up a strong following on the ceilidh circuit, often working with caller Sheena Masson who will also be on the stage at Baldock Town Hall.

Interval entertainment will come from Bedford-based Morris side Red Cuthbert.

You don’t need to book tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm, just pay at the door. Tickets for adults are £10, seniors over 65 pay £9, and it’s £6 for children under 18. Students/unwaged pay £7 and the first six students in the queue before 8pm get in for nothing. Find out more at www.unicornceilidhs.org.uk.
