CD review: Paolo Nutini Sunny Side Up
LOOKING for some sunshine for these long summer evenings? Then look no further than the second album from Scottish singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini.
LOOKING for some sunshine for these long summer evenings? Then look no further than the second album from Scottish singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini.
Along with his band, The Vipers, he has successfully created a sound that blends soul, folk, rock, pop and ragtime. Full of energy, lively beats and catchy lyrics, it is erratic enough to have you tapping your feet from start to finish.
Pencil Full of Lead is great and Tricks of the Trade is charming.
Perfect barbecue music, this is happiness on a disc and is a strong contender for best album of last year.
