* GEORDIE folk legend Jed Grimes makes his first appearance locally for two years on April 11 at Baldock and Letchworth Folk Club.
Past successes include fronting the iconic Hedgehog Pie in the 1970s and he also formed BBC Radio 2 Folk Band nominees 2002 The Hush with Bob Fox. www.jedgrimes.co.uk

* MICK at The Vincent Bar, Stevenage, is on a mission to build up a music club to keep kids off the streets. He is hoping for donations of music equipment, old or new, from people or companies. He also offers free practice space. Quarantine and 20 Dead Camels have already taken him up on the offer.
