AN EVENING of funky rhythms awaits fun-seekers at Hitchin Football Club tonight (Thursday) as Soul Captive Promotions presents Between Broken Ashes, Meet John Doe and the awesome Prize Fight Winner. Doors open from 7.30pm and tickets are £4.

STEVENAGE'S own Lost Boys are back on the road after a five-month break with a new line-up. The punk rock boys entertain with sharp punk rhythms. Be at the Green Man, Royston, this Saturday, June 3, to find out more.

ONE DAY rock extravaganza Monsters of Rock takes place at the National Bowl, Milton Keynes, on Saturday. Deep Purple plus special guest Alice Cooper are headlining the show and will be appearing alongside Thunder and Journey.

IF YOU'RE not off to watch the monsters on Saturday, then make your way down to the Green Room in Welwyn GC where the irresistible Fred Zeppelin are playing.
