Fun and entertainment on offer at the weekend included Maypole dancing, fairground rides, a variety of stalls, classic cars, bikes and other vintage vehicles as well as the ever-popular Scrufts dog show.

A highlight of the show was a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane.

The afternoon was brought to a close with a world-class stunt plane display which commanded silence from the crowd as only the roar of the plane was to be heard.

Back on the grounf, the popular Bake off contest, now in its second year, attracted three times as many entrants, with 75 entries for the Victoria Sandwich alone. Classes were varied and for all the family, with classes for tiny tots and adults, with winners receiving a hand crafted and engraved mini rolling pin.
