THREE orphans vow to make their way in the world of showbusiness in Ballet Shoes, which was recently seen on the BBC.

The film, set in 1930s London, tells of Pauline, Petryoa and Posy who are adopted by an eccentric man and raised as sisters by his niece and her nurse (Victoria Wood).

Like many of these child-orientated programmes, the audience is more likely to find the background characters and stars more enjoyable and watchable than the main child actors and Ballet Shoes is no different.
