GHOULISH goings-on will take centre stage in Letchworth GC on Friday telling tales by the master of the English ghost story.

Presented by the Nunkie Theatre Company, A Pleasing Terror will feature two chilling ghost stories that will have the audience shivering in their seats.

In Canon Alberic’s Scrap-book, a young Cambridge antiquary discovers the devil in the details of an old book in a medieval town in the French Pyrenees, while The Mezzotint focuses on a ghoulish revenge that is enacted within a work of art, before the helpless eyes of a museum curator in Oxford.

Robert Lloyd Parry, whose “uncanny resemblance” to the tales’ author M R James has been noted on more than one occasion, will perform the show at The Little Theatre, Letchworth Settlement, Nevells Road, Letchworth GC on Friday, October 8, at 7.45pm.

Tickets are 10 from Letchworth Settlement on 01462 682828 or David’s Music on 01462 475900.
