FIFTY years after first bursting on to the music scene, rock ‘n’ roll legend Marty Wilde comes to Stevenage to show he can still cause a stir on the stage.

Marty, who managed 13 consecutive hit records and stayed in the charts for a total of 117 weeks in his heyday, will belt out hits such as Endless Sleep, Dream Lover and Rubber Ball at The Gordon Craig Theatre accompanied by his band The Wildcats.

Described as the “cool cat” of rock ‘n’ roll by contemporary Cliff Richard, his long music career has also seen Marty established himself as a successful songwriter, writing Kids in America and a string of other successes for his daughter Kim.

Tickets for Marty Wilde and The Wildcats on Tuesday, September 28, cost 10. Call 01438 363200 or visit www.stevenage-leisure.co.uk
