The costumes are ready, the cast is rehearsed, and tomorrow night the curtain goes up on this year’s panto production at Stevenage’s Gordon Craig Theatre.

This year’s show is Aladdin, and as well as Paul Laidlaw taking on familiar Dame duties the marquee name is former EastEnders favourite Sean Williamson, who plays the evil Abanazar.

This year’s show is the 40th panto to be produced at the venue, and the team promises special effects galore, dazzling costumes, sensational singers and top class music.

Audiences will be able to see for themselves from tomorrow night, and the show runs through to January 25.

Tickets start from £15.50, call the box office on 01438 363200 or visit
