The Unicorn ceilidh crew will be cranking up the music for the first time in 2016 at Baldock’s St Mary’s Church hall next week.

Providing the music on Friday, January 29, will be veterans of the North Herts music scene Abella – with Andy Rouse on calling duties.

The Abella line-up includes melodeon, harp, flute, saxophones, hammered dulcimer and piano and the players can call on a repertoire of top tunes and arrangements to suit all kinds of dances.

Andy regularly works with Abella and will explain and call the dances throughout the evening – he’s known for his great sense of humour to ensure a fun evening all round.

The hall is just behind St Mary’s Church and there will be a real ale, cider, wine and soft drinks bar open all evening.

The evening starts at 8pm and it’s £10 for adults, £9 for seniors over 65 and £6 for the U18s. There are special deals for students, too – visit www.unicornceilidhs.org.uk for more.
