THE swinging sixties are coming to Stevenage, with some of the best loved bands from the decade taking to the stage.

The Tremeloes, Hermans Hermits, The Union Gapuk and The Ivy League are joining together for one stonking night of nostalgia.

Hits such as Silence is Golden, Twist and Shout, I’m Into Something Good, Young Girl and Funny How Love Can Be will be among the 25 hits performed by some of the most influential bands of the time, at Stevenage Concert Hall next weekend.

Between them, the groups have been on worldwide tours, chalked up top 20 hits and albums both here and overseas, and remain popular to this very day.

Promoter Stageright Promotions says: “This quintessential 60s line up is packed with nostalgia and hits.

“Step back in time and relive the past during an evening true to the 60s when pop music was at its very best.”

The aptly named Sensational Sixties show takes place next Saturday (March 9) from 7.30pm.
