To mark their 25th anniversary, the team at Wilbury Hills Amateur Theatricals are staging a musical extravaganza.

The Music Maestro Please! show has been written by Lynne Read, one of the group’s musicians, and aims to be a celebration of the joy, beauty and sheer power of music.

Lynne said: “When it came to deciding on a show for our 25th anniversary, it was the natural choice.

“All the cast not only love to act and sing but also to share their love of music with an audience.

“With more than 30 well-known songs included in the show, the cast are looking forward to singing their socks off and filling the hall with music. If our audiences feel like joining in, so much the better! ”

During the past 25 years, WHAT has performed variety shows, musical comedies, pantomimes and old time music halls in aid of local charities.

This year, their chosen charities are the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth and Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice.

Music Maestro Please! will be performed at Wilbury Junior School in Bedford Road, Letchworth on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.

Doors open at 7pm, with curtain up at 7.30pm. There will be table seating, a bar, refreshments and a raffle.

Tickets are available from David’s Music in Eastcheap, Letchworth or telephone 01462 732238.
