Four-part male harmony chorus Shannon Express will be topping the bill at a Stevenage Christmas free festival for the second year in a row.

The festival, which opens on Wednesday at the town’s Holy Trinity Church and runs until Saturday, is again organised by the Friends of Holy Trinity and the Rotary Club of Stevenage.

This year’s charity partner, the local branch of Riding for the Disabled, will be a major beneficiary of funds raised by the concert.

Shannon Express feature in the festival concert on Friday night from 8pm, an event sponsored by Austin’s Funeral Directors. Tickets are £10, available from Alta Image in Middle Row, Stevenage, and the price includes a glass of wine or squash and a mince pie during the interval.

Entry to the festival is £2 for adults and £1 for those aged 12 to 18, with children under 12 getting in free.

Opening times on Wednesday and Thursday are from noon to 8pm.

On Friday the doors are open from noon to 6pm and on Saturday it’s 10am to 4.30pm.
