Sunday night is set aside for acoustic sounds at Hitchin’s Club 85.

At the top of the bill for a packed programme are The Kingston Inn with Luke Tuchscherer of The Whybirds.

The Kingston Crew are a six-piece indie/folk band who hail from Hertfordshire, with songs to make you smile, dance, clap and stomp your way to a good time.

Luke is best known for his links with the alt-country Whybirds but has launched a solo project off the back of a new record, You Get So Alone At Times That it Just Makes Sense, which was released in October.

Also on the bill are evergreen Herts acoustic scene stalwart Donna Mackay and Charmaine Dawson, a 16-year old singer/songwriter from Cambridgeshire.

Tickets are only £4 and doors open at the Whinbush Road venue at 7.30pm. Find out more at www.club-85.co.uk.

Also in town on Sunday, playing Hitchin Folk Club at the Sun Hotel, are the legendary Tannahill Weavers – find out more at www.hitchinfolkclub.idnet.net.
