Malcolm Sircom’s musical Olivia! has a familiar story – but the Victorian orphan at the centre of the action is a girl, not a boy.

The show is being tackled as a Hitchin Thespians youth production which goes on stage next Thursday, February 19, and runs through to the Saturday, with performances each evening at 7.30pm and a 3pm matinee on the Saturday afternoon.

Olivia doesn’t just have to cope with Fagin and the Artful Dodger in this show – George Bernard Shaw, Ebenezer Scrooge, and even Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson crop up along the way.

Tickets are £10, find out more at www.hitchinthespians.org.uk.
