Contagiously lively rhythms will be sounding out in the sometimes sober surroundings of Hitchin’s Benslow Music on Friday evening as regular favourites the London Klezmer Quartet come to town.
The summertime visit of the capital’s klezmer crew, playing Jewish folk music with a modern take, is always a popular date on the venue’s events calendar.
The talented quartet are committed to authentic delivery and the Benslow team do their bit to add to the electric atmosphere by transforming the concert hall into a cabaret venue for the night.
The quartet has performed at some of the top world’s top festivals and venues and is just back from a tour of Australia.
Tickets for tomorrow night’s concert are £12, and you can book pre-concert dining as well if you really want to make a night of it. If you’re under 27, you don’t have to pay a penny for the concert – find out more on 01462 459446 or online at www.benslowmusic.org.
