Amid the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo, the 600th anniversary of an earlier famous victory at Agincourt has been left in the shade – but not on Saturday night.

Extracts from the Monteverdi Vespers, Heinrich Schutz’s setting of Psalm 150, Purcell’s Funeral Sentences and individual items from the band will complete a varied programme.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets priced at £12 (£10 concessions), which includes interval refreshments, are available from the Hitchin Initiative office in Churchyard – call 01462 453335 to reserve yours.
