Their Born This Way show will also be staged at the Lytton Way venue on Saturday, and students have been rehearsing for the last three months to make the show a memorable one.

There will be more than 100 performers on stage, celebrating the influence of some of the world’s biggest music and dance legends both past and present.

Principal Kimberly Creak said: “The numbers are inspired by icons including Fred Astaire, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Bob Fosse and Beyoncé, to name just a few, bringing together an array of dance styles from ballet and tap to contemporary and street with some twists along the way.”

The students have been working with industry professionals and back stage crew direct from the West End to create a tip-top production, and aerial hoops and flying moves will be among the highlights.

Proud Kimberly promises a captivating combination of stunning costumes, explosive music and innovative choreography as the talented youngsters showcase their skills. She said: “This is far more than a typical dance school show!

“Children from just two years old through to adults are coming together for a spectacular performance.”

Friday night’s show starts at 7pm and on Saturday the curtain goes up at 5.30pm. Tickets are £14, available from the venue on 01438 363200 or online at www.gordon-craig.co.uk.
