You may never reach the heights of a Turner or a Constable, but you can pick up some top tips about successful landscape and seascape painting if you pick up your brushes and get involved in a short course hosted by Stevenage Arts Society which starts on Thursday night.
lec Craik will be leading the watercolour course, which runs for six weeks.
He’s a self-taught artist who paints in many mediums, and he’s promised a ‘back to basics’ curriculum with mixing the primary colours and then building up a scene. You’ll learn how how to paint and place different aspects of a painted scene such as sky, hills, mountains and buildings.
Classes are £3 for members and £4 for non-members, and sessions will start at 7pm at Springfield House in Stevenage High Street.
You can contact Alec for more information on 07926 030974.
