Meet the team who will be bringing Shakespeare to Stevenage next week.

The town’s Lytton Players are tackling the Bard’s peerless comedy Twelfth Night at their Vardon Road base, with the curtain going up for the first time next Wednesday, November 18.

There are performances each evening until Saturday, starting at 7.45pm, and tickets are £8.50 with bargain £6 seats being available for the opening two nights.

The play, directed and produced by Andreas Georgiou, features Grace Maynard as heroine Viola, who disguises herself as a boy after a shipwreck and entering the service of, and falling in love with, the duke Orsino (Alex Hancock).

He sends her – him? – to woo the lady Olivia on his behalf, but Olivia soon falls in love with Viola, believing her to be a boy. Confused?
