Music created by Mussorgsky, Mozart and Rachmaninoff will be filling Knebworth’s St Martin’s Church on Saturday evening as Stevenage Symphony Orchestra presents its new year concert under the baton of conductor Phillip Brunton.
The theme is musical pictures, with Mussorgsky’s famous Pictures at an Exhibition and Rachmaninoff’s Isle of the Dead, inspired by a painting depicting the arrival of a small boat at a remote island, both included.
Tickets for the concert – which starts at 7.30pm – are £10 (£8 concessions) from 01727 858714, David’s Music in Letchworth or on the door.
