A band which initially got together by transatlantic text message is booked in at Hitchin’s Club 85 tomorrow night.
Skaters, above, drew members from England, Los Angeles and Boston who initially met up in New York – hence the title of their debut album Manhattan.
Now they’re all set for a second release, Rock & Roll Bye Bye, inspired by the Britpop and post-punk hits of more than a decade ago.
The album’s not due out until later in the year, but you might be able to catch a sneak preview at the Whinbush Road venue from 7.45pm.
There’s support from Kings & Thieves and High Wire Brigade, with tickets £10 on the door – you can find out more online at www.club-85.co.uk.
