The UK’s longest-running monthly comedy show is throwing open its doors to talent from near and far for its annual Club Comedian of the Year night.

Lastminute Comedy is holding the show at Woodside Hall in Hitchin’s Walsworth Road tomorrow, Friday – with judges including members of the entertainment press, London comedy agents and members of the public.

The emerging talent have already taken part in a series of heats at smaller clubs across the country to qualify for tomorrow’s final – and the winner has the chance to perform at all the Lastminute Comedy venues around the UK and Scandinavia.

Letchworth comedian Paul B Edwards will MC the night, which was won last year by President Obonjo.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with the show starting at 8.30pm. Entry is £10 on the night, with advance tickets available from the Hitchin Initiative at their Churchyard office or calling 01462 453335.
