The Stevenage Lytton Players presents Emily Brontë’s only novel at the Lytton Theatre in Vardon Road from Wednesday, November 15 to Saturday, November 18.

Centred on the wild and destructive romance of Heathcliff and Cathy, Wuthering Heights tells a story of love, betrayal, and revenge.

Adapted for the stage by Lucy Gough, this version stays true to Brontë’s creation, including the often omitted and harrowing ending.

Growing up together on the Yorkshire Moors, Catherine Earnshaw and the gypsy Heathcliff are inseparable after he is adopted into her family.

But when Catherine agrees to marry the refined Edgar Linton, Heathcliff sets his mind to vengeance.

Eighteen years after the madness, the characters must deal with the growing seeds of destruction, and forbidden love resurfaces once again.

This exhilarating and vibrant adaptation of the literary classic brings to life the all-encompassing love between the taciturn, brooding Heathcliff and the emotionally unstable Catherine.

Their destructive relationship is one of the most enduring love stories of English literature.

Award-winning director Michelle Airey has assembled a cast capable of conveying the two very different stories within the play.

Almost every character changes drastically throughout the performance, both through age and experience.

The show runs from November 15 to November 18 at the Lytton Theatre in Vardon Road, Stevenage, at 7.45pm each night.

Tickets are £9, with concessions at £7 for Wednesday and Thursday evening.
