A quartet of funnymen will be performing in Hitchin next week as part of a Comedians and Carols night.

The show at St Mary’s Church in Hitchin features Miranda sketch writer Paul Kerensa, Paul Tonkinson from McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Howard Read from CBBC and James Sherwood, creator of BBC Radio 4’s I Guess That’s Why They Call It The News.

St Mary’s fundraising volunteer Anne Senechal said: “We’ve never done this before, but they have!

“This comedy show has been specially put together with really top-line acts, but so it will work in churches and for a general audience.

“It’s been a successful fundraiser for other places and we are looking forward to a really great evening at St Mary’s, with mince pies and mulled wine on tap.”

The show starts at 7.30pm on Thursday, November 30, with free mulled wine and mince pie from 7pm. Tickets from Hitchin Initiative or wegottickets.com.
