Cult comic legend John Thomson will be featuring in the Mostly Comedy show on Thursday, October 4, at The Sun Hotel in Sun Street.

John has enjoyed a career in film, television, theatre and radio spanning over two decades. He first hit our screens while still at college, providing voices for the cult classic Spitting Image.

After winning the Perrier award in 1992 with Steve Coogan, he went on to write and appear in the Paul Calf video diaries – Three Fights, Two Weddings and a Funeral (a BAFTA winner) and Coogan’s Run.

He later appeared in Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge and Alan Partridge’s Scissored Isle. He also played the pub landlord Ken in Men Behaving Badly, and a multitude of characters in BBC Two’s The Fast Show.

Since then she has performed in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland and Australia, where she won the Percy Award for most seats sold at her venue – more than 1,900 tickets – at the Adelaide Fringe.
