Jarvis Cocker leads the new musical names announced for the Hertfordshire festival, which takes place at Standon Lordship from Thursday, July 26 to Sunday, July 29.

He will be bringing a very special DJ set to the festival east of Stevenage.

From his time commanding the stage in Pulp, to his solo detours and beloved 6Music show, Jarvis is a name synonymous with unstoppable entertainment.

One of the most influential and ground-breaking frontmen and songwriters of his time, his appearance on the decks at Standon Calling this summer is bound to be a must-see moment.

Now in its 13th year, the festival will feature main stage headline sets by Paloma Faith, Hertford’s George Ezra, and Roxy Music legend Bryan Ferry, along with performances from the likes of Goldfrapp, The Horrors, Django Django, Tokio Myers and Maribou State.

Joining today’s new announcements is revered electronic maestro Matthew Dear, bringing his live show to the Standon fields, along with an array of exciting new talent including Artificial Pleasure, Bakar, Easy Life, Lily Moore and loads more.

After last year’s storming and packed out stage, BBC Introducing returns with its biggest line-up to date with hotly tipped new music from across the Three Counties and Essex.

Topping the bill is the punchy garage-rock hooks of Ten Tonnes.

Taking to the stage on the same day as his brother George Ezra headlines the main stage, expect it to be a special moment that points to a songwriter set to be the soundtrack for the year ahead.

Also set to play the BBC Introducing stage are Folly Rae, the stirring Declan J Donovan, the infectious indie grooves of Blushes, sizzling upstarts The Scruff, Standon favourite Jack Cullen and electro mover Rocky NTI.

There will also be appearances from Malika, Holiday Oscar, Tabou and Emma McGrath, and a very special secret headliner to be revealed.

Building on the sensational programme of entertainment spanning the stunning Lordship site, unique areas to explore have become a hallmark of Standon Calling – and 2018’s festival will be no different.

Featuring sets from the likes of alt-pop gems Artificial Pleasure and the punch Findlay amongst others, it will run right through to 3am with spinning DJs and much more.

The home of all things funk/soul/disco/house at Standon for the last 10 years, Groove Garden has seen a range of famous faces roll through to keep the party going, all curated by Kid Fiesta.

With games and activities at every turn, festival-goers can jump into the likes of Lord Trenchard’s Cricket Tournament, Binocular Football, Sock Wrestling and much more.

Also, as the new home to the revered Standon Calling Dog Show, expect the fields to be barking big time.
