This month’s After Dark at Bowes Lyon Centre has perhaps its best line-up yet.
The Stevenage night for teenagers sees headliners The Goos mixing up ska vocals with epic guitars, while support Harmonic Fields continue to come up with fabulous late-60s garage-tinged songs.
Also supporting will be Stereo Breakout. The lads from Highfield School in Letchworth have put together a set with some heavy Nirvana overtones but also whiffs of Blondie, The Ramones, The Pretenders and Black Sabbath. And they are having a ball.
The Live Amps complete the main stage line up, while James Lorimer, P.P.Dog, Hudson Mahalo, Zoe And Laura and (the fabulously named) Katt Strike play unplugged sessions.
It’s 4 entry and all takes place on Friday September 24 from 7pm for 13 to 19-year-olds. Lucky things.
