DID Labour change Britain?
That’s the question two journalists are asking in their new book and will be discussing the topic in Letchworth GC next week.
Held at the Spirella Ballroom, Guardian political and social commentator Polly Toynbee and Public editor David Walker will be on hand to prevalent topics including whether Labour policies worsened the recession, if social mobility slowed down on Labour’s watch and whether Sure Start improved the prospects of tomorrow’s children.
The pair will also be signing the book, named The Verdict: Did Labour Change Britain?, at the Thursday, November 4 event.
The evening starts at 7.30pm in the Icknield Way-based venue.
