PANTO season is well and truly upon us and an amateur dramatics society will join in the fun for the first time, with a Victorian classic.

Knebworth Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) will present Fred Locke and Osburn Blackboem M’Gromagill’s The Babes in the Wood promising a pantomime dog, a baron with the most wicked laugh you’ve ever heard and plenty of Victorian music hall songs.

Directed by Alan Brown, the society describe it as “guaranteed entertainment for all the family”.

Held nightly at Knebworth Village Hall from this Thursday to Saturday, each evening’s show starts at 7.45pm.

There’s also a 2.30pm matinee performance on Saturday.

Tickets cost 8 or 6 concessions and can be bought by calling Frances Farrugia on 01438 820136, emailing frances@caltha.eclipse.co.uk or visiting Village News in Station Road, Knebworth.

Tickets will also be on sale at the Christmas market on St Martin’s Green this Saturday, December 4, from 2pm to 6pm.
