BRIT Award winners Blake will perform alongside two Comet country choirs as they belt out classic-pop renditions in Stevenage next week.

Stevenage-based Hertfordshire Community Youth Choir and The Senior Choir from Hitchin’s The Priory School will both be joining the classical boyband on stage at the Gordon Craig Theatre on Wednesday, January 26, as they perform hits including Hallelujah, Jerusalem and Nessun Dorma.

Musical director for the Hertfordshire Community Youth Choir, which those aged between seven and 21 can join, Ann-Marie Chessman said: “Singing with Blake is a fantastic opportunity for the choir and they are very excited!”

Lindsay Rowlands, head of music at Priory School, said: “The students were thrilled to discover they were to be performing with such an internationally known group - I am extremely proud of them for being chosen to perform. “They are an extremely talented group of students who rehearse twice a week - and much more leading up to this exciting opportunity!”
