THE magical world of Narnia will be coming to Stevenage next week as The Gordon Craig Theatre hosts its Easter musical.
This year’s production is the classic CS Lewis tale The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, which has enjoyed a renaissance in recent years, thanks to the success of the Chronicles of Narnia.
The tale is set to captivate all the elements of the original story, from the children’s evacuation from London, to the unravelling of the Wicked Queen’s nefarious schemes.
Enchanting songs will stay with you long after you have left the auditorium, and the fantastical performances and stunning scenery will inspire young and old.
The cast is made up of professional actors and children from the Hertfordshire area, including Baldock and Stevenage, with the lead roles of Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund being taken by local schoolchildren.
The show opens on Wednesday, April 20, at 7pm, with performances on Thursday and Friday at 1pm and 4pm
There are three showings on Saturday, April 22, at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm.
