AN ARTIST with a big idea will have his work displayed at a Letchworth GC exhibition which opens next week.
Paul Ambler, of Stevenage, will present ‘BIG’, an exhibition of 11 paintings all with one common trait - their huge size.
The 53-year-old’s exhibition comes to Letchworth Arts Centre on Tuesday and will run until April 28.
Speaking to The Comet, Paul said: “I feel my work is a little different to most artists, and I tend to call myself an ‘image builder’ rather than an artist as I build the frames, stretch the canvas and then apply the paint. My ambition is to paint for a living and I will achieve this, I will not stop until I do.”
