Cambridge Folk Festival is fast approaching and with Laura Marling, Femi Kuti, Newton Faulkner and Frank Turner all confirmed you’d have to be a few fiddles shy of a Ceilidh to miss it.

Beyond the big names, July’s celebration of roots music has over 100 other acts across five stages at Cherry Hinton Hall, so even those who think Woody Guthrie is a forest in Kent should have a good time.

If you fancy performing yourself, the organisers encourage musicians of all abilities to bring their instruments and jam with like-minded revellers, and limited spots in the Club Tent are also up for grabs.

There are a variety of tickets for the four-day festival, ranging from one day concessions to the full camping experience. And the festival is family friendly with a crche and children’s entertainment.

The festival takes place on July 28 to 31. Tickets, the full line-up and more information can be found at www.cambridgefolkfestival.co.uk
