Sixteen years after turning his back on a music career that saw chart success in the mid 90s, a Stevenage guitarist is back in the business with the release of his band’s new album.

Jim Kook, guitarist with 90s New Wave act The Sway has realised his dream of releasing the band’s debut album more than two decades after forming.

Recorded after a reunion gig in 2008, it has taken a further three years to get When Worlds Collide onto Amazon, iTunes, Play.com and Tesco Online.

The dad of two who lives in Great Ashby said: “We served our dues throughout the 90s and had minor chart success with Going Blind in 1995 with backing singer Helen Terry of Culture Club fame, and headlined many a venue with none other than Travis as the support act. We gave it all up and swapped rock and roll for nappies and early nights.

“When Words Collide is the album fans have waited for, for over 20 years.”
