Embracing British, Europe and Appalachian music, a favourite on the folk music scene are playing a rare pub gig next week.
The highly-respected Tam Lin will bring their multitude of fiddles, guitars, mandolins, drums and vocals to The Sunrunner in Hitchin on Wednesday for an intimate night of soaring song and traditional musicianship.
The five-piece are fronted by Letchworth and Baldock Folk Club organiser Alan Hewson, renowned for his passionate vocals and bodhrn, djembe and washboard playing. He said the band’s sound goes back to the Irish and Scottish settlers in America who created a new style.
