LETCHWORTH museum is hosting a series of Christmas-related events throughout December.

The museum opens its Mezzanine Gallery exhibition Christmas Customs on Saturday.

The exhibition, which looks at Christmas’ past and includes a display of Victorian Christmas cards, runs until January 7.

On December 15 interactive talk Christmas Pies and Puddings will be held, offering a chance to discover the history and superstition behind these traditional Christmas foods and have a taste yourself.

The talk is for all ages and takes place between 1pm and 2pm, costing �1.

Visitors to the museum in Broadway will also have the chance to make traditional decorations from different historical periods on December 20.

Two sessions, each costing �1, will run between 11am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 3.30pm.

Stevenage Museum will also be adding to the festivities on Saturday, December 10, with A Tudor Christmas.

Running from noon to 4pm, visitors will able to meet a Tudor character for free, with related arts and crafts available for �1.
