A NEW comedian of the year competition will be held in North Herts next week.
Lastminutecomedy Club will be hosting its annual event in Hitchin’s Woodside Hall next Friday, April 6, before the competitors do it all over again at Letchworth Arts Centre the following night.
Up to 10 acts will compete each evening for the title of the club’s New Act Of The Year.
Paul B Edwards, who will compere on both nights, said: “These are brilliant nights and take place on Good Friday and Easter Saturday so if you’re home for Easter you’ve got no excuses not to make it to one of them.
“Last year’s winners have gone on to be regulars on the comedy circuit so this is a great opportunity to see the stars of the future, right here in North Herts.”
Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.30pm start with tickets priced at �10 or �8 for members.
