Walkern music returns to Stevenage Times Club with a blast of South Louisiana blues.
From his first double-A side I’m A Lover Not A Fighter/Sugar Coated Love in 1958 guitarist, singer and harp player Lazy Lester has continued to perform – these days around the world, carrying a torch for the southern blues.
With his nasal voice blending with his harmonica playing, Lester continued to have hit records through the 50s and 60s including I Hear You Knockin and Through The Goodness Of My Heart.
Despite being nearly 80, Lester still plays with the gusto of his youth – promising a rollicking night alongside support act The Bayou Boys.
Tickets are 10 on the door from 7.30pm.
