AN ELECTION won’t be standing in the way of an amateur dramatic group’s show which is based on a bedridden heroine.

Knebworth Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) perform Whose Life Is It Anyway? in Knebworth Village Hall next week, with the three-day show interrupted by the police and crime commissioner elections.

The hall will be used as a polling station next Thursday, November 15, so the production will take to the stage the night before, as well as next Friday and Saturday, November 16 and 17.

Lynsey Gammage takes on the role of Claire Harrison, a woman who lies paralysed in hospital following an accident.

The medical staff are committed to keeping her alive, but she claims she has the right to die.

The decision is left to the High Court, with Mrs Justice Millhouse (Frances Farrugia) visiting Claire at her bedside to make her ruling.

KATS are offering a free piece of cake during the interval in a bid to tempt people out for the Wednesday showing, with a special offer of two pre-paid tickets for 10 just for the first night.

Standard ticket prices for all three evenings, which start at 7.45pm, are 6.50 or 5.50 concessions.

To book call Jo Simson 01438 814166 or 07952 199183. Alternatively visit the Village News shop in Station Road, Knebworth.
