HERTFORDSHIRE Philharmonia will be playing at St George's Church in Stevenage on March 11.
They will be holding a concert to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the composer Elizabeth Poston who lived in the Stevenage area.
The evening will feature works by some of her contemporaries and include Holst's Perfect Fool, Vaughn Williams' tuba concerto (played by Mark McKrell), the suite from Walton's film score for Henry V, and Walton's first symphony, conducted by Mark Forkgen.
The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets are available in advance by calling 01279 431985, and on the door.
